WACO, Texas – Waco ISD Superintendent Dr. Susan Kincannon sent the following message to district families and employees today, “Due to ongoing weather conditions, Waco ISD will be on a two-hour delayed start for Thursday, February 2, 2023. All campuses and offices will open two hours later than normal, and pick-up times for all bus routes will be delayed two hours.”

This means that students and staff should arrive two hours later than on a regular school day. Buses will pick students up two hours later than regularly scheduled pick-up times. School will be dismissed at its normal time.

District leadership will continue to monitor local weather and road conditions. If further action is needed, our community and local media will be informed as soon as possible.

WACO, Texas – Waco ISD Superintendent Dr. Susan Kincannon sent the following message to district families and employees today, “Due to the ongoing winter storm and hazardous road conditions in our area, Waco ISD schools and offices will remain closed on Wednesday, February 1, 2023. We will resume normal school hours on Thursday , February 2.”

Waco ISD has additional instructional time in the current calendar. Therefore, a makeup day will not be necessary for this closure.

WACO, Texas – Waco ISD Superintendent Dr. Susan Kincannon sent the following message to district families and employees today, “Due to the anticipated winter weather and hazardous road conditions in our area, all Waco ISD campuses and offices will be closed tomorrow, Tuesday, January 31. At this time, we plan to reopen as normal on Wednesday, February 1. If anything changes, we will notify you as soon as possible. 

Waco ISD has additional instructional time in the current calendar. Therefore, a makeup day will not be necessary for this closure.
