Biography: My name is Lori Laskoskie and I am in my first year as a school counselor but my 29th year in education. I have taught secondary math for my entire career until this year. I am excited about starting my counseling career at Cesar Chavez Middle School and being a benefit to all students.  I attended Baylor University for my undergrad. I earned my first master's degree in curriculum & instruction from Concordia University. My second master’s degree I earned in school counseling from Lamar University. I am married and just celebrated our 24th anniversary this past June. I have a 22-year-old daughter who is starting her master’s degree at Tarleton. I also have a 19-year-old son who is starting his education at TSTC in welding.

My Why: I became a school counselor because I believe that all students can learn and should pursue some degree, certificate, or any avenue of education after high school. I believe in military, technical,  higher learning or even learning from school. I would like to encourage everyone to never stop learning but also help them to pursue those goals they would have for their future.
