My name is Amy Arredondo. This is my 17 th year in education. I have taught first grade for 10 years, and third grade for 5 years. This will be my second year as West Avenue’s Instructional Specialist. I also had the privilege of coaching high school soccer and cheerleading for the first 9 years of my educational career. I received my Bachelor's degree in Education: Early Childhood-4th Grade from Baylor University and my Masters in Curriculum and Instruction from Tarleton State University.

On my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family, especially watching my 4-year old nephew, Austin, play soccer and reading books about transportation with my 2-year old nephew, Christian. I also enjoy hanging out with my friends, traveling, reading, cooking, and Netflix marathons!

I have been at West Avenue going on 8 years now. I am truly blessed to be a part of this school family. They have helped me grow as an educator and person. I love mentoring and watching the students grow up and also getting to know their families! I could not imagine a better place to be!
