Waco ISD Parents as Teachers is a free parent education and family support program serving mothers, fathers, and guardians who have children who are prenatal and up until the child enrolls in school. It is the goal of the WISD Parent Educators to support the parent or guardian in fulfilling the role as their child's first and most important teacher.

Waco ISD Parents as Teachers supports parents and guardians in the understanding of child development and connects families to resources needed to make the best choices for their family. PAT offers personal visits customized for the needs of your family. Together, on each visit we'll look at your child's development and talk about the parent challenges you face. We will think about family dynamics impacting your chidl's development, as well as your parenting values and decisions, building strong protective factors to keep you, your child and your family healthy, strong and resilient.
