MTB Trojan Swingers

  • Welcome to the MTB Trojan Swingers Official Website!

Hello Jazz band fans! Please check here for updates and information for all things going on at UHS in regard to Jazz along with calendar events. We have a big band/orchestra (Trojan Swingers) along with a regular band (Maximus Jazz Collective) and two student led jazz combos.

    Accolades/ Legacy

The MTB Trojan Swingers had a sweepstakes season, winning superior first division ratings at both the University of Houston - Moores School of Music Jazz Festival AND the Temple College Jazz Festival. Many of the students also earned outstanding musician and soloist awards.

Huge congratulations and shout out to our very own bari sax player Archie Hatten V. Archie not only placed 6 out of 29 of the very best bari sax players in the TMEA State Jazz Auditions, but also placed the highest out of any instrument group in our area, which includes school districts such as Belton, Midway, Killeen, and Temple. Way-to-go Archie!

    Band Booster

If you would like to join our band booster, please send the message @mtbboost to the number 81010 and let our booster know how you would like to help! We always need parents/family to pull our trailer and for chaperrones to accompany us to games. We would also like the opportunity to fundraise so that we can take awesome trips that many of our students can't really afford to pay for out of their own pockets.
