Degrees and Certifications:

Mrs. Nancy Dominguez

Biography: Greetings! My name is Nancy Dominguez, and I am the 7th-grade counselor for Cesar Chavez Middle School this school year. I am also certified bilingual with the ability to effectively communicate in English and Spanish. 2021-2022 marks the beginning of my 15th year in education and my 9th year as a school counselor. I graduated with my bachelor’s degree from the University of Texas at Arlington in 2008 and my master’s degree from Tarleton State University in 2011. I am also a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Texas. Additionally, I am pursuing my doctorate degree in Educational Administration and Policy Studies from Tarleton State University. I thoroughly enjoy working with various stakeholders in order to help all students reach their full potential. On a personal note, I have been married to an amazing husband and father, Justin, for over a decade. Together, we have been blessed with two sweet and energetic boys, Aaron, who is an active and athletic 10-year-old, and Andrew, who is a courageous three-year-old.

My Why: The primary reason I became an educator is to be an advocate for all students, especially those students who are unable to speak up for themselves. My hope is for all of our students to be educated productive members of society. I firmly believe in the power of education and know firsthand how positively impactful being educated can be. In my humble opinion, education is key to break through generational poverty. As Brian Tracy said, “It doesn’t matter where you are coming from. All that matters is where you are going.” Let’s go, Eagles!
