Biography: Hello! My name is Crystal Mendez and this is my 2nd year at Cesar Chavez; but 3rd year in education. I grew up in Waco, however, originally from California. I am a WacoISD product and attended school here at various campuses from elementary to highschool. I then completed my basics at McLennan Community College and transferred to University of North Texas where I received my bachelors degree. I have an awesome family of 4; my husband, 2 beautiful girls, and myself.

My Why: I am here today, teaching Mathematics because I was once on the other side of the table. I am a product of WacoISD and I had two amazing Math Teachers growing up that really opened up that love for not only teaching but solely Math. Therefore, I hope I can be that Teacher who makes the students admire the profession. I love my profession and it has become a passion. With that passion I want to ensure a positive and encouraging learning for all my students.
