Biography: My name is Courtney Oliver and this is my 1st year at Cesar Chavez and my 12th year in education. I have served students from Early Head Start all the way to Seniors in High School. I grew up in Corsicana, Texas and moved to Waco in 2012 as a substitute teacher for Waco ISD where I later became a teacher's aide then teacher. I attended Grand Canyon University in Phoenix, Arizona where I earned a Bachelors in Education and a Masters in Curriculum and Instruction. I have a 13 year old son and a four year old daughter. I enjoy using my spare time to read, watch TV shows, play Final Fantasy video games, and spend time with my loving family. 

My Why: I want to help all students realize and reach their full potential. My goal is to always provide students with relevant and meaningful learning experiences that will help them discover the power of reading and writing.
