Degrees and Certifications:

Mrs. Danette McIntyre

My name is Danette McIntyre and I am the school counselor here at
Crestview Elementary School. Before coming to Crestview, I was a
Family Consumer Science teacher for 5 years at Waco High School.
I taught in the Ready, Set, Teach! program where we collaborated
with Crestview in providing high school teaching interns for the
teachers and coaches. I received my Master's Degree in School
Counseling during that time from Lamar University, so it was a
natural transition for me to begin my counseling career at
Crestview. It is fun to see some of the parents of students here at
Crestview who were my former students at Waco High! My
Bachelor’s degree was received from the University of North Texas
in Vocational Education.
I am beginning my 11th year of service as a school counselor here
at Crestview. I have two grown children and three grandchildren. I
enjoy gardening, reading, and yoga. Because I appreciate this
community, students, parents, teachers, and staff, I can’t imagine
working anywhere else! I adore being a school counselor and every
day I feel thankful to have the opportunity to work with you and
your children.  Please contact me with any questions or concerns!
